Robin Holland

Robin Holland

Robin Holland brings decades of creative and entrepreneurial experience to her work with the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries. Her career has woven through San Francisco advertising agencies, product development roles with companies like Gary Fisher Bicycles, and the co-founding of Totally Games—an independent studio that developed award-winning titles for publishers including LucasArts, Activision, and Disney.

Today, Robin runs The Refinery, a Santa Cruz–based practice where she helps people and projects rediscover the thread that makes their work feel like theirs. Her process combines listening, insight, and gentle direction—turning scattered ideas into something coherent and alive.

A long-time advocate for literacy, community connection, and the essential role of public institutions, Robin serves on both the Friends board and the Advocacy Committee. Her contributions support the new Downtown Library & Affordable Housing Project and ongoing efforts to strengthen the Friends organization—its voice, its relationships, and its role across the county.

Fun fact: A lifelong book lover, Robin finds inspiration in libraries, unexpected nooks and crannies, and in the creative spark she gets from learning French and the ukulele. Learn more at robinholland.co.
