Here’s How to Donate Books

Your book donations help Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries support our library system and its programs and activities for everyone. The Friends welcome your gently used books for our book sales.

Patrons wishing to donate up to 2 bags of books in person can do so at the Aptos Branch Library and Scotts Valley Branch Library.

To inquire about making larger donations or to request support making a donation, please complete the form below and our hard working volunteers will contact you. Note that it may take just a few days to receive a response.

Book Donations

The Friends welcome your gently used books for our book sales. We accept books in good condition including fiction, nonfiction, textbooks, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks.

Dictionaries, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, and magazines cannot be accepted.

Book Cart Locations

Branches at Felton, Scotts Valley, Branciforte, and Aptos host books for sale in their lobbies.
