Branch Committee Friends have a special connection to their local Santa Cruz Public Library Branch. Branch Friends are volunteers who support their branch and the whole library system with activities such as fundraising events, supporting library literacy and other key programs to support life-long learning, enhancing library collections and equipment, and participating in community outreach and advocacy to increase public support for our libraries and expand public understanding of what our libraries do.

The mission of the Friends is to support the Santa Cruz Public Libraries through fundraising, volunteer services, and advocacy. The Friends are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion at all levels of leadership.
