Boulder Creek Friends Celebrate a Festive Halloween Season

Boulder Creek Library Friends

The Boulder Creek Library Friends were busy this Halloween season, joining in three community celebrations that brought plenty of fun, costumes, and connection.

The festivities kicked off with Boulder Creek’s First Friday, where the Friends hosted a table downtown stocked with library information, books for sale, and of course, candy for the trick-or-treaters.

Next came the annual Boulder Creek Library Halloween Party, a favorite local tradition that drew nearly 70 attendees — most in costume! Guests enjoyed hot apple cider and popcorn while making crafts, playing games, and celebrating the spooky season together.

And finally, Halloween night in downtown Boulder Creek brought out crowds of families for the highly anticipated trick-or-treat event along Highway 9. Merchants and community groups lined the street handing out candy, including the Boulder Creek Friends. This year, Friend Lenka’s creative touch stole the show with a handmade Frankenstein’s monster — complete with a 3D cardboard nose for brave kids (and adults!) to reach in and “pick a treat.” The interactive monster was such a hit that lines formed for a turn!

From start to finish, these events were joyful reminders of how much the library and its Friends are connected to the larger Boulder Creek community.
