Branciforte Library Friends
Welcome!
The Branciforte Library Friends formed in the fall of 2024 to support our branch. The local neighborhood is a diverse community of many ethnicities, backgrounds, and ages. We see the branch as a community center that brings people together and promotes communication and understanding.

Participate
The Branciforte Library Friends do a variety of fundraising, program support, and advocacy activities. Working closely with library staff, we support the needs of the branch by providing funds for programs, outside presenters, and purchases of materials and equipment. The Friends support literacy programs such as Summer Reading and READ tutoring, and collaborate with all the Friends branches on annual Our Community Reads activities.
Volunteer
The Friends coordinate regular art shows and occasional receptions for local artists whose work is displayed in the branch. Friends volunteers regularly hold special fundraising events and maintain a mini-bookstore fundraising sales cart in the library lobby. The Friends often partner with the library as co-hosts, in support of special library programs with everything from local bird identification walks to recycling.

Join us!
Our Friends Chapter meets the third Thursday of every month at 12 pm in the Branciforte Library Meeting Room. We always welcome new members, please attend our next meeting or send an email to: friendsofthebrancifortelibrary@fscpl.org. We had our First Annual Vision and Goal Planning Meeting in April and look forward to putting our adopted Vision and goals into action and welcome new members to help!
