Cindy has never been too far from books, so it was expected that after moving to California 20 years ago that she would seek out her neighborhood library. She found the La Selva Beach Branch to be the ideal spot to meet and connect with neighbors in the longest active book club in the county. And when the branch was threatened with closure, she helped create a Friends chapter to keep it open. Since joining the Board, she has enjoyed development activities for matching grants and Measure S Capital Campaigns. Her experience as a small business owner makes her especially sensitive to the importance of welcoming Library patrons and Friends.
Cindy serves as Vice President of the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries.
