Book Donations
Your book donations help Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries support our library system and its programs and activities for everyone.
The Friends welcome your gently used books for our book sales. We accept books in good condition including fiction, nonfiction, textbooks, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks.
Dictionaries, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, and magazines cannot be accepted.

- Boulder Creek Library Friends ask that book donors email libraryfriendskari@gmail.com for details on how to donate.
- Branciforte Library Friends ask that book donors email friendsofthebrancifortelibrary@fscpl.org for details on how to donate.
- Capitola Library Friends offer regional pick-ups. They also accept donations at their store at the Capitola Mall. Learn more by contacting friendsofthecapitolalibrary@gmail.com.
- Downtown Library Friends are currently not accepting donations.
- Felton Library Friends ask that book donors email feltonlibraryfriends@gmail.com for details on how to donate.
- Garfield Park Library Friends do not currently accept donations.
- La Selva Beach Library Friends do not currently accept donations.
- Live Oak Library Friends do not currently accept donations.
- Scotts Valley Library Friends accept up to two bags or boxes per day at the branch. They also offer local pickups and meetups. Contact them at svlibraryfriends@gmail.com.
Capitola Bookstore is Open
Thanks to the generosity of the Capitola Mall, the Capitola Library Friends host a bookstore in the mall at space H4.
There are currently thousands of used items in the shop: books of all topics and in multiple languages, CDs, DVDs, and more. Most items sell for $1 or $2. The funds are used to enhance the Capitola Branch Library. Cash or check only, please.

Wednesday through Sunday: 11:00-6:00
