The La Selva Beach Library Friends invite you to a special book-to-movie event celebrating Maggie O’Farrell’s beloved novel Hamnet — and its newly released film adaptation.
Read It, Then See It
If you have time before the event, pick up the novel and experience the story on the page first. Several copies are available on the Friends shelves near the self-checkout area at the La Selva Beach Branch. That said, everyone is welcome to attend — whether you’ve read every word or haven’t cracked the cover yet.
What to Expect
Join us on Saturday, June 6 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm for a screening of the PG-13 film adaptation, complete with popcorn. Afterward, Logan Walker — Director of Programming for the Santa Cruz Film Festival and a lecturer in film studies at UC Santa Cruz and San José State University — will lead a post-film discussion.
