The Scotts Valley Library Friends are pleased to present their Fall Art Exhibit featuring works from the Scotts Valley Senior Center Watercolor Class. On view now at the Scotts Valley Branch Library now through January 7, 2027.
Every Thursday morning, a group of artists over 50 meets at the Scotts Valley Senior Center to paint together. The class is a standing invitation to experiment and encourage one another in the exploration of the vibrant qualities and techniques of watercolor.
The work on the walls reflects a range of skills and experiences. There are portraits that lean hard into color, still lifes that find beauty, and quiet studies of the coastline many of us often drive past. Watercolor rewards patience and you can see that in these pieces.
Reception for the Artists
Saturday, October 3, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Fireside Room Scotts Valley Branch Library. Light refreshments will be served. Come meet the painters, ask them about their work, and see the exhibition with the artists in the room. The reception is free and everyone is welcome.
